Social Security Disability - It’s a right not a privilege.

KNOW THE FACTS
You’ve worked hard for years. Through your deductions to the F.I.C.A. tax, you’ve contributed to the Social Security Trust Fund. Now, you’re disabled and unable to work due to illness or injury. There is help available: Social Security Disability benefits.

Still not sure if Social Security Disability is for you? Ask yourself these two questions:
• Are you under age 65?
• Are you disabled and unable to work?

If you answered yes, Social Security Disability is an option. The system was designed with you in mind-even if you’ve already applied!

You pay no attorney’s fees unless we win your case! Statistics show that people who use a lawyer to represent them are more likely to win benefits. We know you’ve worked hard. As your attorneys, we work hard to get you the benefits you deserve. At Deutschman & Zakaria our mission is to make certain that you and your family receive every benefit to which you are entitled.

It’s your life. It’s your family’s future. It’s your right. Take a stand and the Law Office of Deutschman & Zakaria will stand with you. We work hard to see that you and your family receive all the compensation and benefits you deserve.

STARTING THE PROCESS
In order to get started, carefully review the information below.

APPLYING FOR SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY BENEFITS
To start the initial stage of Social Security Disability, you must call the main Social Security office at 1-800-772-1213 and apply for disability benefits over the telephone. They enter your claim into the main system and mail you the initial package. You should receive this in 7-10 days. You are then contacted by your local Social Security office, and a telephone interview is scheduled. Once the interview concludes, your file is officially opened at the local office. You receive confirmation of your interview within one week.

IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT YOU REVIEW THE INTERVIEW PRINTOUT
Make necessary corrections immediately. The package contains a cover sheet with a list of documents the Social Security office requires. Once you have gathered all the documents, contact us to set up an office conference. We will review your package and forward it to the local office on your behalf.

The Social Security Administration or the Office of Disability Determination in Tallahassee may send you forms that need to be completed and sent back on a timely basis. You can do this on your own or you may schedule an office conference. Remember that we need copies of all forms for our file. If you drop off the completed documents we are happy to make copies for you and submit your forms to the proper office. The Social Security Administration may also request that you see your doctor or a doctor of their choice. You must attend these appointments, or your claim will be delayed or denied.
