Stephen A. Barbieri, Esq. is a civil trial attorney whose
practice is focused on the area of personal injury; including
auto accidents, slip and fall, medical malpractice, and wrongful
death. Mr. Barbieri’s work representing the Department of
Revenue as well as civil trial practice has gained him
experience litigating in front of many circuit judges,
administrative law judges, and judicial hearing officers in
Citrus, Lake, Marion, Sumter, and Hernando Counties. Mr.
Barbieri guides his clients through complex litigation and claim
issues and strongly advocates for his clients against insurers
and negligent actors. Though Mr. Barbieri’s focus is personal
injury, he also accepts clients with disputes regarding
employer/employee issues, construction defects, product
liability, and civil disputes on a case to case basis.
Mr. Barbieri loves the natural beauty and has lived in Citrus County most of his life. He was born in Weymouth, Massachusetts but came to Citrus County just prior to entering the fourth grade. He is a graduate of Lecanto High School, and is married to his High School sweetheart. They know have two children and are active in the schools and local sports. Since returning to Citrus County in 2008, Mr. Barbieri has volunteered his time and efforts with many community organizations including Relay for Life, the YMCA, Citrus Youth Basketball, Stop Hunger Now, Citrus County Blessings, the Citrus County Education Foundation, and more. Mr. Barbieri served as the Executive Director of the Citrus County Education Foundation from 2013 2016; during which time, he helped raise over $1,000,000.00 for the local Citrus County School district.
Mr. Barbieri previously worked for Powell Goldstein, LLP in Atlanta, GA and The Briggs Law Firm in Ocala, FL, but returned to practice in Citrus County with the belief that the great people of Citrus and surrounding areas should not need to travel to larger areas just to find strong, competent, and passionate representation.
